Me and my teddy, getting all ready
Getting all ready to play
Me and my teddy, getting all ready
Getting all ready to play

You know I've got a lot of friends that I play with
You know I've got a lot of friends who are fun
But then they can't do everything what my teddy
'Cause my teddy, he is the one

Me and my teddy, getting all ready
Getting all ready to bed
Me and my teddy, getting all ready
Getting all ready to bed

You know I never really fright to get night time
You know I'm not even scared of the dark
'Cause with my teddy right here alongside me
I'm not even scared of the shark

To blog or not to blog

Hi! Something is bugging me for a couple of days now that I can't sleep well. I'm a little hesitant to talk (or type) about it, so I'll just keep it to myself until I have the guts to blurt (or type! sheesh!) it out.

For the meantime, I'd like to share what Mikee (my 6-year old niece) wrote for his beloved cousin Kelvin, even if he still can't read! :)

"from: Ate Mikee"

Isn't she the sweetest??
that's why Kelvin love her to bits.

Product Review: Graco Imperial Diaper Bag

A couple of months ago, I bought this uber kewl diaper bag online. It's very spacious and I love the interior because it is divided to separate my baby's bottles from his diapers and clothes. There's also a camera pocket that I find convenient plus an additional insulated side pockets to hold his extra feeding bottles. I wonder if Kelvin's sippy cup can fit? Hmmm...

The bag includes a removal changing pad that is very helpful for nappy change at public restrooms. So now, I don't have to worry about placing my baby on changing tables.

A dirty duds bag is also included to store dirty clothes, used spoon & fork etc. As well as a wipes case, which I don't use because my baby wipes is too large to fit in it; and a Rubbermaid Blue Ice that's still waiting to be used inside our fridge.

As for the design, I love its classic style. The shoulder strap is also adjustable to custom fit. Though I find it bulky, I still love to tote it around. Even my SO loves it and is not embarrassed to be seen carrying this Graco diaper bag.

And the price? I don't know how much is it in malls because as I have said, I bought it online. AND IMO, it's worth every single hard-earned cent!! ;)

Rating: 5 out of 5 shining, shimmering stars!! =)

What a mess

Been busy taking care of my little munchkin. He has a runny nose which makes him irritated since sunday evening...

Monday
He lost his appetite and cries over little things. What scared the hell out of me is when he choked on his saliva twice which made him throw up. I'm on my panic mode again as I recall that it has the same volume (approx. 4 oz. contents of milk and solids) the first time he got sick.

He also can't sleep well that night. I tried different things to soothe his fussiness but it's no use. I can't pacify him

I tried controlling my emotion as my little one can get scared if he sees me crying or if I'm not in my usual happy, smiling face. But, I can't. I really can't. I'm worried and scared at the same time. I'm just so lucky that my mum is always there to guide and help me.

Tuesday
Went to see his pedia first thing in the morning.
I thought he got it from his dad (has a flu) or through his cousins (both has cough and colds) who were here last saturday.
His pedia said that he's only experiencing teething symptoms. What a relief! Whew!

After giving his prescribed medicines and rubbing his gums with Xylogel (it works!), he's back messing our room. Here's proof:

*FYI: for first time mums like me, teething symptoms may include:
• Drooling
• Gum swelling and sensitivity
• Irritability
• Biting behavior
• Refusing food
• Sleep problems

Product Review: Green to Grow bottle

Someone (forgot who) in GT pm'd me and asked about my take on Green to Grow bottle. I bought the pack of 3 wide-neck 10 oz. bots for starters. I'm actually satisfied with his former feeding bottle brand until I learned from fellow Gtalkers about the dangers of BPA. The chemical that is said to leach out and subsequently ingested by our babies when heated really freaked me out, especially when I found out that his brand contains BPA.

I've been googling the best BPA-free baby bottle in the market and I'm quite overwhelmed with the result. There are LOTS to choose from but glass bottle tops my list. But knowing my son, he'll definitely throw it away once the bottle is empty. Safety first, so it's a big NO-NO for me..

.. I googled again! After reading the reviews and the endless comparison, I settled for Green to Grow bottle. Here's my take:

Aside from the fact that it's BPA and Phthalate-free, I love it's "golden" color and cute design. I think it's also color-coded. Blue dome caps and screw rings for wide-neck and green for the narrow-neck bottles. I also learned from the official website (http://www.greentogrow.com/) that they are using 100% recycled packaging.

I'm also liking it because it's light-weight and appears to be durable. *FYI: My son loves to play throw and pick with his bottles. The objective of the game? He'll throw it, mommy picks it. *whew!* Good thing the bottle does not leak because the dome cap touches the teat. I don't have to worry about spilled milk every time I have to shake the bottle or when we're out on a trip.

Having a simple bottle also has its cons mainly because they lack a vent or valve. In layman's term, it doesn't have an anti-colic feature. Good thing, Kelvin is not colicky so it's not my major concern.

Regarding the teats, it is stated in G2G's website that their silicone nipples are
heat-resistant, non-toxic, and odorless. It has three flow speeds: beginner, intermediate and expert. The nipple that came with the bottle is in beginner flow. It's not as soft compared to other newborn or slow flow teats. Luckily, my son's teeth is sprouting thus he enjoys biting it..

What disappoints me is the flow speed of their beginner variety. I expect it to have a slow flow because it's recommended for 0-3 months. Fortunately, I came across a site saying that it can fit other teats like Pigeon nipples. Since G2G is not yet available locally (I think), I'll try Pigeon's teats, compare and blog as soon as I get rid of his extra silicone replacement nipples.

As for the price, you decide.. For me, it's a bit pricey since I bought it online. Buy hey! I don't mind, as long as my baby's health is not at stake.

My final verdict: 4/5, not bad!

As promised, here's my latest LO's. Some of the pix were taken last Christmas.
** No pix on New Year, he's (Kelvin) so afraid when hearing the sound of fire crackers. My poor little muffin.
