My Little Engineer

Kelvin just turned 1. Nothing special. Prepared food for brunch at home and early dinner at his daddy's place. I know that he still had fun eventhough there's nothing fancy on his "BIG" day. We were also surprised that he was wide awake for more than 8 hours which of course is very unusual for him.

He enjoyed being the center of attention that day and also had fun sharing his new toy with his cousins. Here's some of the pix!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELVIN! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH =)

Empty

Maybe we're trying, trying too hard. Maybe we're torn apart. Maybe the timing is beating our hearts. We're empty... And I've even wondered if we should be getting under these sheets. We could lie in this bed. But it's empty, it's empty... ='(

9 and 12 days to go

9 days to go before Kelvin's birthday, and 12 days to go before my birthday.

I hope he gets well before he turns 1. He recently had a fever (for 3 days) and now has rashes all over his face and body. We went to see his pedia a while ago and he said that he has Roseola or baby measles. It's contagious during the fever stage and less contagious once a child has the rash. I just hope that he gets well because he's not that playful and always seemed tired. But he still managed to pose for the camera. Look!

the countdown begins...

9 days to go before Kelvin turns 1. I'm a bit excited even though we didn't prepare a party for him. We'll only have a small gathering, a family affair. I know that most Filipino families celebrated their sons or daughter's 1st birthday like there was no tomorrow. Some shell out more than 100k for their child's birthday. I even read in a forum that they had to extend their budget.

IMO, my son will not fully enjoy his party because he's not fully aware of what's happening. If we push through with it, most of the invited guests will be adults. I will not shell out my hard earned money (as if I have the moolah), especially my SO's just to please other people or just because it's the "tradition".

I'm just being practical. And besides, my son is just starting to walk. How will he be able to play with other children who likes to jump and run around?
